Meet The Blogger

I’m Lindi! The Blogger around this place.

Love.

I’m engaged! My wedding is August 27, 2016! It’s coming up so quick! My gentleman and I met through a friend in school. We were friends for a while before we first noticed each other! He’s funny, goofy a little nerdy, and extremely intelligent. He grounds me when I need it and calls me on my crazy. I wouldn’t be who I am today without him. He’s helped me grow and learn. We are so alike yet so different. Yes were one of those gross couples everyone loathes. We can make an eye connection and not even have to guess what the other is thinking. We love to cook and travel together. We also love to camp together.
As you can see Captain Smarty Pants
being himself!

Life.

I’m currently at home on a year’s long maternity leave from work. I reside in a little big town. One that still holds so many redneck little town qualities, but is slowly beginning to actually have nice restaurants and trendy stores. While most days I hate the drivers and mutter curses under my breath, I actually love this place. And since I’ve lived here my entire life, I could not imagine living anywhere else. I’m a nurse when I am not at home. Currently working on taking upgrading my LPN diploma to and RN degree. I love my job. I love working on my feet and with people. I could never be strapped behind a desk. If I’m not elbows deep and in the action I’m not quite satisfied.

Family.

I’ve just become a new mom! First Time! I have a beautiful daughter. Born September 10th, 2015. 2:22am 7lb 6oz 20 ¾ inches. When I’m not struggling through juggling school, babies and trying to regain my pre-baby body (aren’t we all :/) I’m trying to either cook or be productive in some way. I also have two fur-babies! Thor is almost four years old and loves peanut butter but is tragically allergic to it! He is an American Staffshire Pit Terrier. And Onyx, a Doberman Pinscher, who is three years old, and extremely intelligent (99.9% too intelligent for his own good most days).

Health.

I danced all through school and was naïve about being skinny. I often doubted that I was and was grossly inaccurate about how hard I had to work to maintain it. When I got together with my soon to be husband, I began running long distances. Since I just had a baby, I’m working to get back into the shape I was before. I’m working towards a 27 minute 5km, and a 60 minute 10km. While I can be found complaining about how sucky the gym and working out is, I genuinely enjoy it.

Happiness.

Numerous things make me happy! I'm going to try to talk about as many as I can here! Read more to find out more about me!
